Chemical Peel
At Hyde Park Clinic we provide two types of Chemical peels:
To give your skin a natural glow you can choose from either of our highly effective superficial peels:
Glycolic Acid which is ideal for aged and pigmented skin
Salicylic Acid (supplied by Skin Ceuticals) which is perfect for acne and sensitive skins.
These peels are designed for those clients who want slow gentle results, there will be very little down time which means you can fit the treatment around your normal daily activities. To gain the maximum results it is best to use an AHA for a week prior to commencing the Peel. The treatment itself is not too uncomfortable – a slight tingling sensation is felt as the peel is being applied. A cooling vitamin C face mask is applied after treatment to enhance the effects and to cool the skin. A slight tingling may occur and your skin may be more red than usual for up to an hour afterwards. It is important to follow the aftercare advice given by your practitioner. A high sun factor most be worn at all times.
Easy TCA (supplied by Skin Tech)
This is a highly effective medium peel, to treat those first fine lines, skin discolouration and acne. It is well tolerated by the skin. It should be applied in 4 weekly sessions. There is no downtime and you can carry on with your activities as normal. There is no need to prepare the skin beforehand. While the peel is being applied, you will feel a sensation of warmth on your face that is perfectly bearable. The first 2 days after the peel, your face feels a little tight. By the 3rd and 4th day, your skin will flake more noticeably.
You will be advised by your practitioner on your post care regime, and it is important that you follow the advice given. Again you must always wear high sun factor to protect your skin.
