Care Quality Commission
Hyde Park Clinic has been approved for registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). It is illegal to operate a Laser or Intense Pulsed Light service without this registration.
This organisation came into existence in April 2009, and now undertakes the roles previously carried out by the Healthcare Commission. One of the duties of the CQC is to register and monitor all establishments undertaking Laser and Intense Pulsed Light therapies, to ensure primarily that clients are being treated safely but also to ensure that the best possible service is offered (in terms of effectiveness, value for money and so on).
The process leading to registration is rigorous, and assessment thereafter is continuous and exacting. So you can be reassured that Hyde Park Clinic has achieved (and is upholding) the required standards to satisfy the government.
As a condition of registration, there are a number of Core Standards that have to be met by the Clinic. Details of those most immediately relevant to our Laser and IPL clients can be found in the Clients Guide – which is available in the Waiting Room and can also be downloaded from the link below.
In the Guide, details of our Complaints procedure are expanded. At Hyde Park Clinic we always welcome feedback, whether positive or negative. Improvement to any service is always possible and can only be achieved by listening and acting upon appropriate advice.
